작가는 대학시절인 1991년 어느 여름날, 자전거에 몸을 싣고 소니 카세트 플레이어에 ‘더 도어스’의 음악을 들으며 사진을 찍던 제주도 사계리 주변의 빛을 잊지 못해 최근 그 곳에 정착하였습니다. 사진집 『르 박스 / 더 도어스』는 아직도 인적이 드문 사계리 주변의 풍경과 일상을 ‘르 박스’라는 아그파 일회용 카메라로 기록한 200여점의 컬러, 흑백사진들과 30여년전 일부 사진들로 구성되었습니다.

Photographer and designer Seo Min Gyu once rode his bike around Sagye-ri, Jeju Island, listening to The Doors on his Sony portable cassette tape player one summer day in 1991, when he was a college student. He couldn’t forget the beautiful light of Sagye-ri, so he recently settled there. The photo book, “Le Box / The Doors,” consists of over 200 color and black-and-white photos of the scenery and daily life around Sagye-ri, which is still uninhabited, recorded with an Agfa disposable camera called “Le Box,” as well as some photos from over 30 years ago.
Includes a 5 x 7 inch original print.
